ABOUT

WHAT IS THE TUXIS HARBOR?

The Tuxis Harbor is a fully accessible space designed to inspire creativity and learning. The philosophy of The Harbor is to use an individual approach while providing a variety of services, including, but not limited to: day supports, weekly classes, recreation, fee for service opportunities and evening and weekend respite.

The Harbor is designed to support the aspirations and dreams of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as persons on the autism spectrum. The SARAH Tuxis staff is receiving continuous advice and counsel from the SARAH Tuxis Self Advocates regarding the growth of the Tuxis Harbor. Drawing upon the expertise and support of community mentors is also key to its success.
